Our Process

Our goal is to provide the best possible website design experience for our clients. Learn about our 5-step process below.

Project Setup

The first step of our process involves meeting with you to learn more about your business, your goals, and your vision for the website. We’ll think through the information architecture of the site, overall style, and functionality.

Preliminary Design Build

Once we have a good idea of what you’re looking for, we’ll build a preliminary website design. This design will include a single page mockup so that you can get an idea of the look and feel of the site before we move on to building the whole thing.

Complete Design Build

After you’ve reviewed our preliminary design and we’ve completed any revisions, we will move on to building the complete website design. This involves building out every page, making the site responsive across all devices, and adding in all of your content and images.

Website Launch

We’ll give you some time to review the complete design and submit any feedback or revisions that you may have. Once you’re 100% happy with the website, it’s time to launch!

Client Training

Once we’ve launched, we’ll run a training session with you to teach you how to use your new website. We will also provide you with a written instruction manual covering everything we discuss.

Ongoing Support

Once a website is live, it’s extremely important that someone is there to keep the website maintained, secure, and up-to-date. We created a monthly Website Care Plan to help our clients keep their website running smoothly for years to come.

How is Third Cup Creative different?

There are three major things that set us apart from the competition:

  1. Our Process - We have a rock-solid 5-step website design process built specifically for business owners.
  2. Education - We train all of our clients on how to use their new website and keep it running for years to come.
  3. Long-term Relationships - Launching a new website is just the beginning. Many of our clients choose to partner with us through our monthly Website Care Plan.
Is Search Engine Optimization (SEO) included?

All of our websites are built using SEO best practices. This means your site will have all of the basic, foundational steps needed to ensure search engines can easily read and rank your website. For some businesses, this is enough to reach your desired search rank. Others may need additional SEO services, like content and local search optimizations. In that case, we can refer you to one of our partner companies that specialize in SEO.

Who owns the completed website?

You will have full ownership of your website.

Can you revise my current site or finish an incomplete site?

Typically, we cannot. Our process and tooling are specifically designed for the websites we build. However, if there are elements you want to retain from an existing website, it's often possible for us to recreate them in a new website.

Are your designs premade templates?

Every website we design is one-of-a-kind and specifically made for each client. We do not use premade templates or themes.

Who writes the content for the site?

Usually, that is you. You are the expert on your business, so it’s usually best if it comes from you. To make this process easier, we use an online content collection survey. This survey walks you through a series of questions in order to develop the content for your site.
